Alexandry Douyon, was born in Chicago Illinois and moved in Miami, Florida at the age of 5. He attended magnet schools for the Arts at the primary and secondary school level and graduated at Miami Sunset Senior High. Alex attended Jackson State Mississippi and obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in painting. He is currently a graduate student at Florida International University.Alexandry was exposed in the early ages to Art.• At the Middle School yearly Art, he sold many pieces in schoolexhibitions.• Had the opportunity to travel and visited galleries in Europe.• At Jackson State he was an active artist, I participated in the MississippiCollegiate Art Competition from 2000-2005 and won best drawing in2005 and my work made the cover of the competition.• Won best painting in Student Jury Show in 2000, 2001.• Collaborated in a selected group exhibition Here We Are in Jackson,Mississippi 2005.After graduation he was chosen to showcase his works with Polo Ralph Lauren and Generation Engage in an Art Show called Politics Through Art in Washington, D.C. 2006. He was a stand out artist as he sold two of the four paintings that he brought to the show. He has also worked Art Basel doing vinyl lettering for Art Basel in 2009.Alexandry has worked with Miami Dade County Public Schools as an Art teacher for the last five years. As a dedicated teacher, Alexandry is providing creative instruction to students at all grade levels from elementary to high school.• Was selected as Rookie Teacher of the Year for Poinciana ParkElementary for 2010-2911 school-year.• Hold a Professional Teaching License for Art in the State of Florida• Hold a Teaching License for Adult Education.In the areas of technical skills, he has experience in oil painting, acrylic, graphingdesign, photography, video production, music production, video editing."I look forward to bringing my expertise and passion to help developthe program further. "
