International Artist Kyle Holbrook Unveils Raven Inspired Peace Mural in Budapest

Budapest, Hungary — A new public mural celebrating peace, cultural exchange, and Budapest’s rich history has been unveiled at Color Bar in the heart of the city’s vibrant District VII cultural district.

The mural was created by internationally recognized mural artist Kyle Holbrook as part of his ongoing global Peace Mural Tour, a multi country artistic initiative focused on using public art to build connections between cultures and communities around the world.

Inspired by Hungarian symbolism, the mural prominently features the raven, a powerful figure in Hungarian history and folklore. The raven is most famously associated with King Matthias Corvinus, whose emblem carried the iconic black bird and whose legacy remains deeply connected to Hungarian national identity. In Holbrook’s interpretation, the raven becomes a symbol of communication, wisdom, and peace.

Painted in Holbrook’s recognizable contemporary style, the mural blends vibrant colors, expressive forms, and symbolic imagery that reflect both Budapest’s creative energy and the spirit of international collaboration.

The mural is located at Color Bar near Gozsdu Courtyard in Budapest’s District VII, a neighborhood widely known for its dynamic street art, historic

architecture, galleries, and cultural venues. Over the past decade the district has become one of the city’s most active creative corridors, attracting artists, musicians, and visitors from around the world.

By incorporating local cultural symbols into a contemporary street art language, the mural celebrates Budapest’s artistic identity while connecting it to a broader global message of peace and cultural dialogue.

Holbrook’s Peace Mural Tour spans multiple continents and brings artists and communities together through collaborative public art projects. Each mural created during the tour reflects elements of the local culture while contributing to a shared global message about unity and creativity.
