To Promote Peace across America with Art

What: A 6’ x 4’ Street Art Style Mural in Downtown Portsmouth.

Why:To promote ‘PEACE’ in New Hampshire and through out the United States in response to recent gun violence to draw attention to the need to end gun violence and reform gun laws. The mural is part of a national tour by International Artist Kyle Holbrook to all 50 USA States.

The Location was selected because the “Whale Wall” by Artist Wylan is painted on the same wall and is damaged and deteriorated with the hopes the city will restore the legendary artists mural instead of destroying the mural. The Intent is the “Peace Portsmouth” mural will bring more attention to the Arts community in Portsmouth and save this Wyland Whaling wall.

How: The Artist painted the mural in a contemporary street art style similar to ‘Banksy’, to make the message simple and easily understood.
