American Artist Kyle Holbrook Unveils Peace Mural in New Delhi’s Lodhi Art District During Global 19 Country Peace Tour

New Delhi, India — Internationally recognized American mural artist Kyle Holbrook has unveiled a new peace themed street art mural in the iconic Lodhi Art District, marking India’s chapter of his global Peace Tour spanning 19 countries.

Located in Lodhi Colony, India’s first open air public art district and one of the most visited street art destinations in the world, the mural reflects a message of cultural respect, dialogue, and global unity through art.

Unlike the large scale public murals Holbrook is internationally known for, this work embraces an intimate street art approach. Standing approximately seven feet tall, the mural was intentionally created at a human scale, allowing visitors to experience the entire artwork while interacting directly with it through photographs and shared public engagement.

Influenced by accessible urban street art practices often associated with artists such as Banksy, the piece invites participation and reflection rather than distant viewing.

Holbrook’s visit to India focused on cultural immersion prior to painting. The artist spent time exploring historic landmarks including the Taj Mahal, engaging with local communities, and observing daily life as part of what he describes as an approach rooted in listening and learning before creating.

The mural arrives at a time when global conflicts and international tensions continue to influence perceptions between nations. Through his Peace Tour, Holbrook emphasizes people to people cultural exchange rather than political commentary.

Artist Kyle Holbrook said:

"It’s not my role as an artist to speak politics. My role is to listen. I came to India to learn first, to respect the culture, and to understand people before ever putting paint on a wall. This mural represents peace person to person. As an American traveling the world, I want people to know I come with humility, curiosity, and respect. Art becomes a bridge when words and politics fall short.”

The mural incorporates Holbrook’s signature peace symbolism and hand motif representing shared humanity. Its approachable scale encourages visitors to stand within the artwork itself, reinforcing the idea that peace is an active and shared experience.

The Lodhi Art District, known for attracting international visitors, artists, students, and influencers, provides a global platform for the artwork’s message as thousands of visitors engage daily with public art throughout the neighborhood.

India represents a key cultural stop within Holbrook’s international Peace Tour, which spans Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas, promoting dialogue and connection through public art installations worldwide.
